For Whetstone's version of this classic style, we relied on the rich, bready character of Pilsner malt and the subtle spiciness of Saaz hops. Crisp & refreshing, this well-balanced beer goes down smooth. Pairs great with pizza or a light fish dish, even sushi.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to lager glass.
Appearance: golden yellow color with some transparency; one and a quarter finger of white foamy head which slid off mildly to leave some light lace
Aroma: light grassy to earthy hops; biscuity to bready malts
Flavor: blends the prior aromas to a fair semi-sweetness; low key aftertaste of malts
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness along the tongue; finishes with a touch of bitterness
Overall: nice enough pilsner I could come back to.
