Bottle. Medium head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma is malt and hops. Taste is malt and hops with a long lasting bitter finish.

Big light brown head. Deep red-brown head. Softly wooden metallic aroma of malts with a dark fruity background and notes of tea. Dry tea and malts taste with metallic smoky notes. Slightly thin-bodied. Dry powdery metallic aftertaste. Nice, but not major. (0.5l bottle from Systembolaget, Stockholm.)

Copper coloured with a firm, near white head. Aroma was toffeeish. Flavour was similarly of sweet caramel with a redeeming dry finish. Ok.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys. Chesnut with a thich cream coloured head; caramel aroma; rather thin in the mouth with deep caramel malt and a strongly bitter finish.

Bottle, from Sainsburys Kidlington. Poured a fairly standard brown maybe a touch darker. Good hoppy and fruity nose, taste was very fruity, quite suprised in fact at the full bodied fruitiness and bitterness of this beer. This was a really decent ESB.

(50 cl bottle from Systembolaget) Clear brown color, big fluffy tan head. Nice hoppy fruity scent, some pine resin and citrus. A bit of chocolate also. Fruity hoppy bitter and malty taste, some metal and chocolate as well. Medium mouthfeel and ratehr high bitterness. Bitter aftertaste.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, warm amber golden with a small, off-white head. Nutty aroma. Medium body, again with nutty accents and some burned caramel. But overall rather dry with a lightly hoppy finish. 221106

Bottle 0,5l. 4,7%. Brown colour. A small white head. Not much aroma, but a caramellish, fruity flavour. A sourish bitter aftertaste with some sweetness.

500ml bottle from Eurotunnel Terminal Building France. Lots of the previous raters have got most of the elements of this beer. Yes it is very malty, yes it does have a strong hop presence. But I have spent the day drinking live cask and bottled conditioned beer. At the heart of it is a candy sugar dead tasting beer and no amount of malt or hop can make up for that. British brewers, please bottle condition your beers. Please, pretty please. I want to enjoy your beer as it should be, not this fake. Trust us. Malt and hop are good though
