We matured our Belgian style quadrupel for 16 months in a six-sack tokaji aszú barrel, so that the round-down, sweet, aszú notes with a slight woodyness could pair perfectily with the base beer's flavour profile.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 9 | Texture - 10 | Overall - 9

hazy brown colour with some reddish notes, moderate sized beige-ish head; aroma of intensive Tokaji aszú, acetone, raisins and prune soaked into alcohol,honeycomb toffee and burnt sugary notes; taste is exactly the same with prune dominance; excellent beer!

--Keg at Keg Sörművház, Budapest. -- Hazy burgundy colour. Intense vinous oaky nose. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Marzipan, honey and glorious Tokaji aszú on bready malt. Mildly warming finish. The barrel character surpasses the base beer.
