Skovlyst JubilæumsBryg is a strong dark golden ale brewed at the family-owned La Goudale brewery. This uncompromising beer experience is brewed in the ‘Strong Ale’ style and is characterized by both a strong malt character and a sweet, spicy, fruity balance.
As a tribute to Skovlyst’s 15-year brewing history, the beer is brewed with ingredients that characterize the first Skovlyst beers. Skovlyst JubilæumsBryg therefore contains maple syrup and the Amarillo hop variety. The beer is aged on lightly toasted oak chips, which adds a soft vanilla-like flavor to the beer.

large bottle. clear maghony amber, small offwhite head. the amber color is really nice looking. aroma is slightly boozy, nutty, notes of dried dark fruits, raisins, faint and balancing green fresh spices or wood stuff. flavor is caramel, mild dark fruits, faint black berries, same as in blue vodka, sort of reminds me of barley wine, but more dry and less malty sweet, also reminds me of other really strong traditional amber danish beers, but this one is particularily refined and balanced. usually i'm a bit bored with skovlyst beer, but this one is quite okay.
