A nice mahogany brown beer with wonderfully thick cream-colored foam. The fragrant malty bouquet with fine extracts of caramel makes you want to take your first sip. The taste is flattered by spicy roasted aromas and notes of dark chocolate on the palate. The fine hop notes are then replaced by a subtle malt sweetness.

50 cl bottle.Dark brown colour. Bread and caramel flavour with nuts.This was the last one from 20 different bavarian beers that I was rating with friends so the notes that I took were not so good.

Müllerbräu Dunkel, 5,2 %, Flasche von Ambrosetti. - Tiefdunkles Kaffeebraun, klar. - In der Nase dunkles Brot, rösche Brotkruste, Mokka, zart säuerliche Züge und dezente herbale Hopfengrundierung. - Antrunk teigig dunkel- und röstmalzig mit leiser Frucht, Orangenlimo, Bitterschokolade. Schwache herbale Hopfung. Durchschnittlich rezent, nicht ganz vollmundig, ein wenig hart im Mund. Im Abgang feine Malzbittere und dezente, schwach erdige Hopfenherbe. - Eher mildes Dunkles, das gute Aromen von Röstmalz aufweist, aber nur sparsam gehopft ist. Gehobener Durchschnitt. (14.3.2023.)

500ml bottle; drank at home on 21st May 2020 during the virus Lock In. Really enjoyed this beer and I have struggled with a few Dunkel's over the years. This had a full body feel and some deep flavours unlike so many of the style. Malty, caramel sweet with a decent hop balance to stop the sweetness running away too much.

Bottle. dark brown color. Apple syrup and malt in the aroma. Malty sweet, caramelly flavor with hints of licorice, caramel and apple syrup. Flat, sweet and sticky.

500ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with average to huge, thick, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Slightly grainy, roasty dark malty aroma, a touch of spelt, hints of malt lozenge, very cautious hints of burnt grain. Taste is dark malty, minimally roasty, hints of treacle, malt lozenge, liquorice. Not bad.

Bottle 500ml. @ home on the terrace. [ As Müllerbräu Altbayrisch Dunkel ].Clear medium to dark brown color with a large to huge, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread - dark bread, caramel, nutty, dark malt, light roasted, light hoppy, grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, malt and hop bitter, grass, bread, nutty, medium dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150313]

Bottle looks simple but okay. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Starts mild, fine malty, modest roasty. Mild earthy background. Soft-malty finish. Good one!

Rötlichbraunes Bier mit geringer weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, reife Früchte, minimal säuerlich. Geschmack nach Karamell, Vanille, reife Früchte und etwas Röstmalz.
