Tap at Sommar, Canalside, Birmingham. Dark ruby/light black with small beige head. Its big on wood and liquorice notes with dried fruits, coffee and toffee. Mid to full bodied, fine carbonation. Enjoyable.

Keg at Craft Inn, Worcester, 16/02/23. Light black with a good sized khaki cap. Nose is dark malts, mellow roast, charr, cocoa powder, dried fruit rinds. Taste comprises roast malts, mellow barrel, light coffee bean, toffee, chocolate, dried fruits. Medium bodied plus, fine carbonation, semi drying close with an earthy roasted close. Okay sipper but lacks depth of flavour both in terms of coffee and barrel presence.

Draft at Sommar, Waterloo Street, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown colour with an everlasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, red berry fruits. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter with a smooth, light tart blackberry, plum palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. Well hidden alcohol. Tasty but not a world beater.
