Light gold in colour, bursting with citrus and tropical hop flavours and sensationally refreshing. The original UK Citra.

In 2009 on his annual hop sourcing visit to the USA, Oakham's Brewing Director John Bryan discovered an exceptional new hop variety - Citra. He rushed it to the UK, ensuring that Oakham Ales were the first UK brewery to brew a beer with 100% Citra hops and maintaining Oakham's reputation for pioneering innovation.

Bottle. Foggy golden. Moderate white head. The nose is a blast of lemony hops. Light body. Dry and hoppy taste. So clean. Citrus, dank, tropics. Medium bitterness. Well done.

0.5l bottle. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Aroma and taste of hay, graind, lemon zest, grapeseed and a bit of blackberries. Light bodied with and the finish is quite bitter. OK beer, but really nothing special here.

2016 catch up - Bottle at home - A very nice English IPA. A bitter flavour of hops, but with a floral element lurking in the background. A very nice beer for the end of a busy Sunday
