Hazy deep amber color, medium-sized beige head. Flowery and woody aroma. Medium to full-bodied. Sweetish maltyness, orange marmalade, citrus, berries. Heavy drinking. Sweetness covers ABV but this is not the most refreshing beers. Could work with more bitterness better.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark orange to brown with a small tan head. Aroma is smooth fruity, toasted malty and light metallic. Bitter, toasted malty and dry and slight herbal. Bitter and crisp hoppy finish.

Bottle 330ml.[ Courtesy of fiulijn ]. Unclear medium amber orange colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, warm citrus, fruity, orange - citrus. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, warm fruit, caramel, riped fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120617]

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, amber to copper colour with a mid-sized tanned foamy head. Toast-malty aroma with shy hints of toffee, accompanied by fruity and spicy (fir needles) hops. Moderately sweet and mildly bitter flavour, quite full bodied with a modest carbonation. Slightly toasted malty taste with notes of fruit-cake, traces of toffee and spicy accents; sweet-bitter, mildly toasted finish with a delicate hops balance. Another gem from Bad Rappenau. 21.VII.12

Bottled, thanks fiulijn! Hazy copper colour, mid sized head. Citric nose. Sweet with clean mouthfeel and medium-full body. Some dough, tangerine and berries, but mostly big and oversized. Fairly low bitterness.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Deep reddish amber colour, mediumsized foamy beige head. Aroma is fruits, some floral and grassy notes with mild freshly cut pine. Flavour is sweet fruits, mild nectar, some tropical fruits, grassy and quite sweet maltyness. Very pleasantly balance. Hides the alcohol quite well.

bottle from bierpost.com. Hazy brown colour, id-sized off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruit. Very malty, lots of tropical fruit without an immense hoppy bitterness. Very malt-accented, not very hoppy yet full of ripe tropical fruit such as papaya, mango... Delicious and well-rounded beer from a very reliable and innovative brewery.

330ml bottle. Cloudy amber colour with small, firm, forthy to creamy, lacing, off-white head. Intense, heavy, fruity malt aroma, peach, hints of toast, moderately hoppy overtone. Sweet malty taste, hints of fruit, peach, citrus, decent hop notes; lasting sweet finish with a honey touch. Would have liked more accentuated hop.

Herb-hopfiger, recht süßer Beginn. Der Hopfen kommt leider nicht gut hervor, das Bier wirkt viskos, gering hopfig, stärker honigartig süß, gering bitter. Süßliches Ende. 9/8/8/9/9/9

Hazy dark amber and red color, with generous beige head, compact. It has a mild aroma of caramel and dusty roasted malts, cereals, some fruity hops, light yeast. The malt and caramel flavor is very good, once more it shows the German ways of brewing an Ale, providing a cleaner palette; it’s quite sweet, leaning between a Doppelbock and a fruitier Ale; there is a touch of cereals in the final; good bitterness level, although in this case the hop characteristics are not as prominent as in the Hopfenstopfer Single Hop series. The final is very well balanced, with a comforting alcohol warmth.
