Can from Utobeer consumed at home in Barbados, 12th August 18. Pours off clear, orange. Aroma is typical west coast, citrus, grapefruit, love it. Taste is bitter, grapefruit, citrus, hides the 8.5 so well, really like this one, lovely DIPA.

Golden with a white head - Tropical fruity hop aroma - Malt body to support a tropical fruity hop flavour with some grapefruit, citrus that gives a dry bitterness - The fruity dry finish goes into the finish - This was good

8th July 2018
Can. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and fairly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts, little grainy and mildly sweet. Smooth pine and ripe orange and orange peel. A bit staid so far but the smooth tropical fruits on the back end really turn this around into something decent. Mildly crisp and spicy finish. Decent.

Can. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of honey, pine and orange. Flavour of Lockets, lemon jelly and Jaffa Cake. Medium body with a slick texture. Light fizz. Rich and sweet but with enough hop bitterness to ensure the sweetness isn’t cloying. Decent.

12 oz can poured, gifted by Tcon, picked up in Maui. Thanks! Awesome to try this one. Golden orange pour with a decent amount of haze, and white foam head matching the can. Some bold hop bitter flavor up front with a cool secondary. Grains are on the sweet side, but appropriate. Tropical feel to this imperial that makes me think of the origin of the brewer. Malt is rich, but this stays away from being boozy. Just a smooth and refreshing imperial here. A double destined for six packs. Very nicely made imperial here.

Can from ABC Stores at Airbnb in Oahu on our last afternoon. Hazy goldenrod pour with white sticky foamy head. Aroma is fruit and resin - pineapple guava and berry. Sweet malt. Taste is strong resin bitterness followed by slight fruit and solid but not overbearing sweet malt backbone. Prickly carbonation and smooth mouthfeel. Nicely done DIPA but nothing particularly special about it. Would get again in Hawaii for sure - certainly the best local DIPA I’ve tried so far.

Golden color. Nice pine and citrusy nose. Medium full body with good caramel and buscuit backbone. Prickly hops. Aggressively bitter. Fairly well balanced. It’s a well made, but not super exciting IIPA.
