Tumman ruskean oluen paahtunutta makua ja hedelmäiset Cascade -käpyhumalan aromit. Taydellisen tasapainoinen tapaus.

A dark brown beer with a big, quite dense and beige head. Aroma is interesting mix of roastiness and citrusfruity hoppyness, some pine needles and chocolate. Taste is roasted, dry grapefruits, coffee and some herbs in the aftertaste. Light+, nice carbonation, but body is too light. Nice and interesting, quite hopped beer, Cascade fitts nicely and gives freshness into this beer.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear, handsome reddish brown with a tall, dense beige head with a good retention. A little licorice in the nose, subdued roast though. Medium-bodied, again quite a licoricey character. Lightly bitter finish with a late slight tartness. 130612

33 cl bottle @ home. Batch #424, BBE 1.10.2012
Aroma is roasted with coffee and hoppy with some resin. Also some ash and vanilla. Flavour is rather ashy with some hops and hints of coffee. Nuts in the finish. A bit too ashy, straightforward and watery but decent anyway.

Bottled 330ml (K-Kamppi, BB 10/2012, batch #424)
Dark ruby color, small beige head. Aroma has chocolate-coffee, some caramel and hops. Light bodied. Chocolate, coffee, light hoppy bitterness in the finish. Nice toasted aftertaste with light hoppy notes. Very balanced and clean. Just needs a bit more kick (=higher ABV perhaps). Good one from Stadi.

Medium yellowish beige creamy head. Clear brown head with strong carbonation. Fruity caramelly milky aroma with floral spicy notes. Dry roasty milky taste with smoky notes. Mid-bodied. Thinnish body. Mild mouthfeel. Dry roasty caramelly aftertaste with dusty wooden resiny notes. Hmmm. Do these people clean their tap lines? Anyway, decent, but too thin. (0.3l draft at Oluthuone Kaisla, Helsinki.)

(Draught at Angleterre, 20120511) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and almost white. Aroma had malts, molasses and hops. Palate was medium bodied with quite high carbonation. Flavours were molasses, caramell, roasted malts, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty, hoppy and bitter. The taste was a bit unpleasant. Usually I like Cascade but here it didn’t work.
