500 ml bottle at Drunkenmonkey, Augsburg. Clear dark brown, medium head. A lot of malts and roasted malts, caramel, chestnut, walnut, cocoa, herbal hops. Slightly sweet with a dry hoppy bitterness. Oily to watery texture, dry hoppy finish, medium bodied, soft carbonated. Straight forward Dunkel with a distinct hoppy character.

Taste: Medium sweet, mlaty, light chocolate, light caramel.
Palate: Medium body. Light creamy. Light astringent finish.

Prolog: This was the first beer I have ever had in public due to a missunderstood between my parents and the waitress at lunch in the former station building in Königssee. 42 years ago and I was not really at the age of legal drinking beer. But I had a relaxed afternoon ... Re-rate 2017: 0,5 l bottle from the online shop of the brewery. A darkest red brown in the glass with a huge frothy long lasting pale beige head. Low malty on the nose. Taste starts mid malty, some sweetness, hints of citrus in the background. Relative smooth and easy to drink. Not bad.

500ml bottle. Clear, ruby red glowing, brown colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Malty aroma has hints of rock sugar, liquorice and dark bread, a spicy touch of hay, hints of grassy hop. Taste is minimally to moderately sweet dark malty, hints of rock sugar, also minimally dry toasty dark malty. Not bad.
