Bottle: Amber coloured, a bit unclear, rather quickly collapsing off-white head; clean sweetish-caramelly nose with a delicate toasty and hoppy touch; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, soft; slightly lingering sweetish toasty and caramelly finish with a light bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite pleasant......

(bottle, 33cl, bought in Aalen two days ago) Clear, dark amber to brown colour with a short and slightly tanned foamy head. Moderately toasty malty aroma with notes of caramel, candy sugar, marzipan and a nutty touch. Moderately sweet flavour with a shy touch of bitterness, light to medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Toasty malty body with notes of caramel and shy hints of cacao; sweet, slightly toasty malty and shy hop bitter finish. This is my second try, the first time I had this beer, it was totally infected (anyway thanks to Quack-Duck). The clerk in the shop in Aalen told me that the brewery had serious problems with infection and lost a lot of customers. Hopefully the problems have been solved. 06.X.10

bottle from Toom Aalen. Clear amber-bronw colour, mid-sized off-white head. Malty nose with hints of caramel. Solid malty flavours with caramel and toffee fudge, biscuits and a tiny touch of chocolate. Slightly hoppy in the finish. Soft and velvety palate, well-balanced and well-crafted beer.

Bottled. Amber colour, not much head. Aroma is malts, hops and some quite sweetish notes. Flavour is much the same along with some slight earthyness and caramel in it.
