Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear amber with a beige head. Sweet overripe fruit, burned caramel and spices in the nose. Solid body, roasted malts, burned caramel, brown sugar and friendly phenols. Subdued bitterness - more of an Abbey Dubbel. Nice. 150211

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden amber with a small tan and creamy head. Roasted and caramelish aroma. Dark malty, rather fruity, roasted and light yeasty. Lingering dark malty and subdued fruity. Ends medium dry and malty - vague bitterness coming through.

Bottled. Dark brown color, medium head. Aroma of caramel malt, bit sugary sweetness, hint of chocolat and fruit, raisin. Quite sweet taste, quite some carbonation, but still decently balanced with fruity and malty flavors. Quite ok.

Thickset, white head with a little brown shine over hazy brown beer with red reflections. Chewing gum, dark, very roasted malts, bit of sulphur, ink aroma’s. Liquorice, dark, partly roasted malts, near-cloying sweetness. Hint of salt/seaweed; coriander retronasal. Watery MF, absolutely not up to the 8.5% claimed. Disappointing, once more, for Lupus. SamC, you’ve told me better things about them... prove it.
