Ein helles mit 13,5% Stammwürze, etwas stärkeres, leicht ins süßlich gehende, leicht gehopftes Bier. In den Zeiten vor der Erfindung der künstlichen Kühlung wurde nur bis George (Ende April) gebraut, da es dann zu warm für untergäriges Bier war. Diese meist zuletzt im März gebrauten Biere, wurden etwas stärker eingebraut, um die Haltbarkeit über den Sommer zu verbessern. Daher stammt der Name Märzen.

Bottle. Pale golden color. Grassy aroma. Grassy, bready, soft hopbitter flavor. The breadiness spreads in the aftertaste. Well crafted beer.

500ml bottle. Clear, orangey golden to pale amber colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, minimally biscuity, malty aroma, a touch of caramel and dried banana. Taste is sweet caramel malty, a touch of toffee, speculoos, a fruity touch of dried banana.

Bottled, from Biershop Bayern. Clear deep golden, mid sized head. Fruity nose with hay-like hops. Mid sweet with voluptious body and soft mouthfeel. Bready and fruity, with hay and Earl Grey tea, perhaps some saccharine. Long but mild bitterness. Very harmonious. Uncomplicated but really good.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig würzig, Geschmack angenehm malzig würzig mit ganz minimaler Bitterkeit.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is sweet malts, some mild grass and some slight herbal notes as well. Flavour is wooden, big time sweet malts, some herbs and mild notes of caramel. Wellbalanced.

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium yellow colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully to mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, grain, toasted, light vegetables. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110819]
