Bottle from Eldesmadre, thanks! Reddish amber color. Yeasty flavor with rosebuds and hints of citrus and banana. Just a little yeasty aroma. Slightly disappointing.

bottle from a 2012 trade with ElDesmadre. Cloudy pale golden colour, creamy head. Malty base, pleasantly wheaty with hints of banana and bubblegum. Very nice.

0.5l bottle kindly traded with ElDesmadre. I've seen one or two beers with a massive gigantic head in my days, but nothing like this! The second the beer hits the glass, it foams like a Mentos in a diet coke. Amazing. Eventually when it settles after a couple of hours, it turns out that this is a heavy cloudy dark dark nutty-brown beer. The amazingly fluffy beige head never completely disappears. On the aroma I find sweet tones of both dark and red dried concentrated fruits, some cocoa powder, a little bit of cardboard and hints of nuts and chocolate. Not bad! It has a quite lively carbonation level - almost on the border of being over carbonated, it's medium-bodied and has a oily texture in the mouth. On the flavors it's much the same as I found in the aroma. Light sweet and dried-fruity, chocolate paper tones, some cocoa powder and a distinct light mild sour almost acidic hint. It actually suits it quite nice, but I'm not sure it's intended. It leaves my mouth with a light alcoholic flavor in the aftertaste. Not a bad one, and a clear record (even behind De Molen's - Molenbier) on the massive gigantic head. 04.04.2012
