From the 5/2012 3R6P tasting. +++Sampled form a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a hazy caramel-amber color with an enormous orange-white head that lingered forever and left good lacing. The aroma was dry with a strong bretty presence and notes of pepper, must and light citrus. The flavor was dry and musty with strong brett and mild tart citrus followed by a sour presence and more brett. Long, dry and bitter bretty finish. Medium body. Interesting - more so if you like brett like I do.

Slightly hazy dark brown beer. Frothy off white head. The head has a little smoke. Palate is crisp and semi dry. A little sour and spicy, the beer froths in the mouth. Finishes minerally with some bitter hop going through to the aftertaste. Interesting but lacking cohesion.

Lovely bottle! Dark copper and clear beer with a big off-white head. Smells pear and apple. Tastes sweet and sour at the same time, fruity and bitter. Dry and bitter palate with a fizzy carbo.

75 cl bottle @ home. Batch 769/770, bottled 14.04.2011
Aroma is sourish with lots of earthy notes and some sauerkraut - very typical to JP. Flavour is salty and sour with earthy notes and sauerkraut. Foamy palate. Adding the yeast gives more grapefruit aroma. No signs of a bitter here.

750ml bottle
Batch 769/770, bottled 4-14-2011 - Pours light orange with a massive foamy white head. Aroma of tart fruits, yeast, earthy notes and spices in a typical Jolly Pumpkin style. Taste is slightly tart with fruity notes, malts, earthy notes and spices. Finish is bitter and slightly tart. Okay, slightly light bodied but not too sour or tart either.

750ml bottle, batch 769/770 carried back home from Fenaknoken in Oslo. Pours a hazy amber body covered by a huge, dense, off-white head with firm duration. Spotty lacing. Fresh and mild aroma of dusty hops and mid-sweet malts. Taste of fruity yeast, pumpkin and malty sweetness. Dry and smooth bitter ending. Soft in the mouth. Accepted (shared at a drinking session in Tromsø, 15.02.2012).
