BAM BIÉRE SERIES

Bam is an Extra Special dog. After surviving being struck by a car, daily somehow manages to avoid being carried away by the largish birds of prey gliding overhead, riding unseen thermals.

Bam's tenacity seems only to be surpassed by his oversized personality. Join us in celebration of his excess. More malt, more hops, same vivacious personality.

Cheers & Mahalo plenty!

Bomber. Batch 769/770; Bottled 4-14-2011. Pours a cloudy rusty color with a large cream-colored ice-cream-float-like head (it looks like there’s a Pac Man-shaped island sitting on top); fantastic retention. Aroma is bready malt, brett, dust, pure awesomeness. Taste starts out lightly sweet before a lingering bitterness sets in. Not surprisingly, it tastes more like a saison--an extra hoppy one, mind you--than a bitter. Carbonation is high while the body is light to medium. Excelente.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a glass. Pours translucent amber with big off-white head. Medium small bubble lacing, medium body, and effervecent carbonation. Taste is sour malt, spicy yeast, and bitter hops. More like a saison than a bitter. Another good beer from Jolly Pumpkin.

Bottle I brought to ‘Zieke Zuiden Tasting II’. Big creamy, slightly off-white head on top of an amber colored beer. Smell lightly sour, lightly bitter. Reminds me of Orval. Taste bitter with hints of sour: very nice. Decent carbonation, low to medium body.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a dark, hazy orange with a large beige head and lots of lacing. The aroma is rye, lemons, bananas, and floral and grassy hops. The flavor is mildly bitter, with some citrusy sweetness and lots of malts. The palate is light to medium, a little grainy, and acidic. The finish is clean. Overall, this is a very complex and flavorful beer, but still light and refreshing.

Bottle shared by someone at the october Houston tasting. Pours a hazy pale gold with a white that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a nice jolly pumpkin funk note and light sour fruit backed by a bit of grain. Flavor is light with funk sour fruits and light grain. Easy drinking.

Bottle, Musty lemon and malt aroma. Cloudy amber color with a giant tan head. Moderately dry, musty lemon and malt flavor with a mild bitter herbal hops finish. A saison-bitter.

draft at the Ann Arbor brewpub - Pours cloudy light amber and has a mild malty aroma. There’s good lacing. The flavor is fairly bitter and a little fruity with a light body and a dry finish. I thought it was alright, but wasn’t blown away by any means. I’m not a fan of the regular Bam either though.
