Bam is an Extra Special dog. After surviving being struck by a car, daily somehow manages to avoid being carried away by the largish birds of prey gliding overhead, riding unseen thermals.

Bam's tenacity seems only to be surpassed by his oversized personality. Join us in celebration of his excess. More malt, more hops, same vivacious personality.

Cheers & Mahalo plenty!

Draught, and probably the best bitter I have ever tasted. Cloudy orange with thick white head. Wonderful malty aroma with a lekker hop tinge. Full bodied for the strength, with a well balanced profile hop and malt in just the right aroma.

750 mL bottle, bottled 3/10/2011. Pours a lightly hazy orange amber with a large off-white head. Sharp tart fruit aroma combining with hoppy aromas of citrus, spice, and slight pine. Flavor has a little funkiness with its earthy, spicy hops, biscuit, and light grapefruit. Slightly astringent barrel note is quite strong, kind of unbalancing. I wouldn’t call this my favorite Jolly Pumpkin beer, but it does alright.

Draft at Paradiso Dupont. Murky brown color. Aroma is slightly sweaty. Taste has bitter straw. More like a saison than a bitter. Decent.

Funk, rubber, pear, and must aroma. Cloudy brown, thin head. Dry grass flavor with bandaid overtones. Apple core finish. This one is infected and bad.

Tap at Rattle n Hum. Hazy, amber pour with a creamy, off-white head. Interesting aroma, with notes of brettanomyces, wood, light citrus and caramel malt. Flavor has light sweetness with some must and faint funk. Light to medium in body with soft carbonation and a dry, mildly bitter finish. Good beer.

Pours deep amber into a tulip. Off-white meringue head craters leaving sheet lacing. Sour dark pit fruit and leathery yeast aromas. Sweet bog berries upfront turning to tart chocolate in the middle and on to a lasting bitter pepper finish.

Enjoyed as a guest beer at Hop Juice Fest at Two Brothers. I have a feeling that this was at the bottom of the keg, not sure if the taste dictated that but I saw some younger volunteers at the fest hesitate before giving it to me, then making others wait for a couple of minutes. Aroma of wild yeast, spices, and coriander. Appearance foamy amber copper. Taste is kinda sour and yeasty. Pretty good stuff, even if it wasn’t 100% intentional.

Flavor: Tastes much like the nose, yeasty with some brett and hops
Palate: The palate is on the smoothish side, it has a nice medium body
Overall Impression: This was a pretty solid brew. Well-made with a nice flavor. Tasty stuff. Quite a good session beer.
