Dark brown color with a toasted bread/malt aroma. Taste is rich, slightly sweet, toffee, mild hop bitterness and crispness.
Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Pours a dark chestnut brown colour with a medium to large sized creamy beige head. Aromas of caramel, toasty bread and hints of dry dark fruit and nuts. Taste is pretty much the same notes as the aroma with an added hint of brown sugar and a tiny bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied, nice amount of carbonation with a smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. it’s a very good Dunkel up there with some of the best i have tried.

Bottle courtesy of our landlords Peter and Elke, (cheers you two!). Had this Sunday 17th March 2019. Pours brown with a mid sized head. Light chocolate notes, a little roastiness, some dark fruits, caramel and malts. Re: fruit, I am thinking dates perhaps. Quite a decent dunkel all told.

Bottle. Pours a clear very dark red-mahogany color with a small beige head and poor retention. Spotty lacing. Dark malts aroma. Fairly flat mouthfeel. Caramel and dark malt flavors dominate. Lightly sweet, no bitterness. Simple profile. One dimensional but very good. Very clean and easy drinking.
Malty, chocolatey, Germany.
