(Bottle, 0.5 l - bottle #24127, at Pikkulintu, 20120316) The beer poured reddish brown and quite clear. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had honey, raisin, malts and molasses. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, raisin, caramell, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, raisiny and bitter. After pouring in part of the yeast the sweetness disappeared and the maltiness grew stronger. Very good brew and aged well.

Bottle at Chriso’s Fullers-Gales Tasting (thanks to Chris). It pours slightly hazy deep amber, with a thick beige head. The nose is very orangey - fruit peel, marmalade, tinned nectarine and some parma violets. The taste is tangy orange, mango, nectarine, tinned fruit salad, wood, leather and alcohol, with a warming, slightly citric finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. Fresher tasting than the previous vintages consumed at the tasting. Nice.

Bottle at Caspar’s Running Toilet Tasting. Pours clear amber with a soft, white head. Ages malts in the nose, some dark fruits, very faint booze. Lovely flavor, light caramel, light leaves, toffee, rich bread. Medium to full in body with fine carbonation. Warm finish, plenty of toasty sugars, light toffee, sweet and dry leaves, caramel. Very nicely aged. One of the best vintages I’ve had.

50 cL bottle, #03287, bought at the brewery. Pours hazy dark orange to brown with a small, yet dense. creamy and tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, light hoppy and oxidised metallic and overripe fruity notes. Sweet malty, overripe fruity, distinct bitter and sadly also oxidisation notes. Bitter and dark malty finish.

Dark amber color. Nose shows some oxidization, but that melds will with the earthiness and cherry notes given off. Apples and pears play in the background. Med bodied. Alcohol is completely hidden. Well balance. A touch of burnt raisins pop in. Still decent stuff that goes excellent with Christmas bread, but I wouldn’t want to wait any longer on this beer.

Bottle #74574 Thanks to Matt. Pours out orange with some red highlights topped with a tan head. Aroma was of light sweetness fruit, caramel, and rich malts. Taste much of the same but with some nice floral hop notes.

Bottle 62844 from Half time. Pours a dark, hazy, ruddy amber. With a 2 finger foamy off-white head that goes lacey/clingy. Pleasing aromas of floral and roast malt. Near full body with very creamy and fine carbonation. Flavor is lightly aged/oxidized roast malt with nice floral hop. It is very smooth and pleasant. It has aged well. Feckin’ brilliant. Thank you Half Time.

Bottle - Light orange/amber pour with a thin beige head. Fruity with apples and light caramel in the nose. Not bad. Dry and floral taste with lots of bready malt. ABV comes in late to warm things considerably. Not really my style.
