Our Mastrobator is dark ruby, almost black, with a long-lasting foam and a spicy-chocolate scent. On the tongue it is very full-bodied and yet fresh, with a balanced caramel taste. In the end it leaves a strong, softly rounded, recent impression with a light and fine bitterness. Main fermentation in open fermentation tanks, maturation in horizontal storage tanks.

Tap at Munich Tap House, 25th January 23. Pours a dark red brown. Aroma is sweet and malty. Taste is sweet, smooth, rich, some malts, light caramel, strong and deceptive, it’s alright, but not one I would have again.

Bottled, thanks SaintMatty! Clear nut brown, mid sized head. Aroma of dates and dark bread. Sweet with full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Raisins, caramel, bread and notes of sweet licorice. Long bitter finish.

Donkerbruin bier met mooie stevige lichtbruine schuimkraag. Smaak is zoet en licht kruidig met iets van chocolade, iets van toffee en wat zoet fruit. Erg goed!

Bottle picked up from Liebick Getränke Germering and consumed at home Attenkirchen Saturday 1st February 2020 listening to Balthazar - Fever and cooking Chicken Pathia from The Curry Guy cookbook. Pours deep ruby, reddish brown with an off white head, plenty of toffee and malt, it's sweet and I guess a fair representation of the style. Very soft mouthfeel, it's alright without ever being exciting.
