Very cloudy light golden color. Light hoppy mouth. A touch of rice, but well balanced and highly refreshing

Bottle from Utobeer. It’s a decent blond ale. Just a touch of rice on aroma. Some decent lemon and grapefruit hop on the finish. Quite drinkable, but not very exciting.

12 ounce bottle from Vintage Cellar in Blacksburg, VA. Pours a very hazy very pale yellow color with a thin head. Poor head retention and lacing. The aroma is strong rice along with some bread and caramel notes. Taste is bread, rice, caramel, nutty notes and a hoppy finish. Medium bodied. Meh.

Draught. Seemed a very delicate beer. Poured cloudy yellow with thick white head. Much lacing. Faint ricey aroma with some grass notes. Delicate flavour, not like a weizen, not like a sake, not like a blonde but unusual. Finish like a blonde ale.

Bottle 12fl.oz. @ home.Light light unclear light medium yellow color with a average to large, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate hoppy, perfume, fruity, apricot, light to moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and peel bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091222]

12 oz bottle. Aroma is malts, touches of grain. Flavor is normal, but nothing spectacular. A fine, standard, if not slightly boring beer to drink, nothing bad, nothing special.

9th October 2008. Bottle at the brewery bar. Hazy gold beer. Soft palate but has good carbonation. Lagerish gold ale. Pretty standard stuff and hard to get excited about.

Sample at the Great Divide Tap House in Denver. The beer pours a pale yellow color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Light fruit and grain in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of grainy malt, mild hops and sweet fruit. Did not get too much rice character out of this. The finish is clean and fruity with a short malt aftertaste. Average overall.

On tap. Banana esters and rice in the aroma. Pale yellow, nice lacing. Tastes pretty bland for Great Divide, but one can’t expect too much from a blonde ale. Medium bodied.

draft at the brewpub - Pours cloudy white-yellow with a mild, malty aroma and what I guess is rice. The flavor is light and somewhat sweet with the rice apparent and a lingering mild hops bitterness. I wrote that it seems kind of wheaty, but from the description there isn’t any wheat malt in it, so that must just be the rice. It’s a decent brew but not really my thing.
