Bottle Batch E!0II Thanks Jake65. Pours out a brown topped with a small head. Aroma was very nice sweet brown sugar and light hop notes. Taste more of the sweetness brown sugar, rich malts, and a nice light bitterness.

Botle - thanks oteyj. Beautiful deep auburn pour with a modest beige head. Sweet aroma is citrus, florals, and caramel. Tastes rich in maltiness with some citrus. The caramel is more noticeable and retains a dark, sweet presence. Some vinous notes and faded hops. Reminds me of Double Bastard, but mellower. Nice.

Deep dark amber coloured body with a dense, thick tan head. Aroma of pit fruits, alcohol, malt, yeast and a heavy dose of spices. Full-bodied; Very vibrant malty tastes coming through with alcohol, apricots, pit fruits and caramel. Aftertaste shows a lot of alcohol and yeast, but the sweetness comes out more than anything else. Overall, a very strong and full-bodied beer - perfect for sharing after a hockey game! I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from HalfTime in Poughkeepsie, New York in early August 2009.

Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a murky dark brown color with a trace of a brown head. The aroma was full of floral and fruity hops with a touch of brown sugar underneath. The flavor was harsh, sour and fruity with a roasty, malty undertone with notes of molasses and cherry. The finish was long, sour and had light caramel and strong harsh fruity hops. Medium body. Interesting.

Bottle from a generous BA member at Lost Abbey. Pours with a small of white head and a hazy deep golden body. Raisins, caramel, bready malts, light faded hops. Taste is caramel, bread, little booze (brandy?), great! Creamy mouthfeel, light bubbles. Good stuff.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt and hops as well as light notes of wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and wood, as well as lighter notes of vanilla and over ripe fruits, leading to a dry woody finish.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Storm. Pours a hazy and opaque orangey brown with a dense, creamy beige head leaving laces. Fat aroma of hops and overripe fruit. Quite full-bodied, a little low in carbonation, lots of overripe fruit and a load of aroma hops. Fairly bitter finish. 290509

Blind tasting at Papsø’s
Hazy amber color; medium creamy head. Nice American hop aroma, partially fruity and then resiny, a bit sweaty. Strong caramel flavor, a bit fruity and sweaty. The body is well structured, it has a very good caramel flavor, with good sweetness level, nice alcohol warmth, strong hopping, resiny and a bit fruity. Long and strong final. Excellent.

From bottle, blind #22. Pours cloudy dark orange with a slowly diminishing off-white head. Dense hoppy and light fruity aroma. Dense wooden and citrusy fruity flavoured. Distinct sweet caramel malt flavoured base. Lasting wooden and fruity flavoured into the finish.
