Das schwarze, aromatisch-milde Dunkle vom Donnersberg ist ein untergäriges Bier. Neben dem normalen Gerstenmalz wird ein dunkler Röstmalz verwendet. Dadurch entsteht die schwarzbraune Farbe. Das wenig hopfenbetonte Bier beeindruckt durch ein angenehmes Röstmalzaroma. Sein kräftiger Geschmack erinnert an Röstkaffee. Der weiche Abgang klingt mit einer leichten Karamellbitternote aus.

Bottle @ Café Morshuis Albergen. Deep dark brown color. Flowers, a hint of roast and chocolate cake in the aroma. malty sweetish flavor with apple and chocolate cake. Somewhat sticky mouthfeel.

Green 0,5 l bottle from Erzengel. Thanks a lot! Screw cap. What the heck!? Dark red brown in the glass with an one finger pale beige head. Low malty smell. Taste is malty, some sourness in te background, metallic elements. Getting okay in the aftertaste.

* Old rating, 0,5l screw-top-bottle, best before 16.04.04. Würzig-dunkles Bier. Nette Anklänge an Röstmalz und dunkle Schokolade. Recht trocken mit einem kleinen Rest Süße für die Süffigkeit. Trocken herb-malziger und intensiver Nachgeschmack. Lecker!

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a dark brown with a ruby hue. Aroma of caramel, a little skunk and sweet grains. Taste is light bitter. Just barely a hint of Roasty malt. Other than that, it tastes like any standard crappy American macro. Super disappointed in this one. Not very good.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein schwarzes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, erdig, leicht würzig. Geschmack röstmalzig, leichte Kaffe Aromen, erdig, trocken malzig, leicht süß.

On 06/18/2011 as Bischoff black lager. Amber body small white head. Sweet bready and light chocolate aroma. Sweet chocolte and bready malt flavor. Medium body with moderate carbonation.
