Cask at the Chequers, Cottenham. Reddish brown, very translucent. Very little head. Soft figs, vanilla, forest floor in the aroma. Taste is gently bitter, some fruity sweetness at first but this slowly disappears en route to the sour/bitter finish. Sour cherry and wood shavings in the aftertaste.

Bottled 500ml. -from www.beershop.hr Clear amber coloured, small tan head, mild nutty caramel nose. Toasted malt, caramel and fruity with pleasant herbal hoppy notes. Some nutty notes in rather dry bitter finish. Not bad at all.

Cask at the 3 Guineas, Reading, 12/04/13. Clear copper brown with a beige head. Good lacing ensues. Nose is malt forward, caramel, dark fruits. Taste comprises much the same, toffee, fruits, malty. Medium bodied with fine carbonation with a good dose of bitterness in the finish. A tidy enough bitter!
