A very deep red leaning towards nut-brown beer with a thick brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of roasted malt and caramel, but also some fruity notes towards citrus, and hints of the alcohol. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of nuts and alcohol to start off with, which in turn softness to make room for notes of caramel, which again resides, to let the alcohol come back and give it a very dry long lasting end. An OK beer, but a bit too much and too raw notes of alcohol is a drawback.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, orangey brown with a neat, dense beige head. Distinct aroma of caramel with some fruitiness. Full-bodied and rather potent with a high degree of sweetness, distinct caramel and some nuts. Very warming alcohol presence in the finish. Very solid and rather christmasy, but more than one bottle will knock you down. 160406

Bottled (BB 07/2006)
Ruby red color, good tan head. Very light aroma of malts and fruits plus some spices (ginger?). Medium-bodied. Quite sweet sugary flavor with some harsh maltyness. Alcohol is hidden quite well, only picks up in the finish. Quite straightforward sweet beer, not very ale like - more like sweet vienna.
