Bottle at Ølfestival 2008, Århus
Hazy amber color. Nice aroma, creamy hops, caramel. Medium body, with a bit of alcohol punch, it has a good caramel flavor and strong bitterness, even if I like more sweetness, good hops too. The respectable minor sister of their Double IPA.

Valid till 2008-06-23 Nice aroma, somewhat subdued though.. Semi-opague, a bit dark for an IPA, looks okay, small uninteresting head. Tastes very good. Not IPA like, but sort of like a good dark pilsener. Alc. almost totally hidden, a slight bitter aftertaste, some sweet notes in the beginning. The chili-alc undertone i hate with other midtfyens is here too, but a lot less dominant. I’m having this one cold, i fear how it evolves with heat.

Bottle. (On two occasions). Pours a nice clear, golden body with an off-white head. Piney and citrusy on the nose, with malt and caramel and some beef-stock a little bit in the background. Nice hoppy flavor with citrus and pine, as well as malty flavors. Not as bitter as wished for, but sure bitter. Quite full body, slightly warming and almost astringent from the hops. Long piney finish. A nice beer from a brewer that used to be almost crappy. (080215)
