If One is Good, Then Two is Better! Our Moylander Double IPA is fat and resiny, with aggressive and excessive hops swinging on on an enormous malt backbone like naughty monkeys on a vine. Double malt, double hops - do the math, it's academic. This brew has twice the things you're looking for, and it's big enough to share with the one you love. And isn't that what it's all about?

From a 1 Pt 6 Fl oz bottle on 25/3/2014. Pours a cloudy light golden with a biggish bright white head. Has a delightful hoppy aroma, featuring heaps of stone fruit, resin and pine. Taking a sip is a full on experience, with the hops and bitterness very much in your face. There’s pine, resin, spice and grapefruit in spades, with the bitterness sticking to your mouth stubbornly. There is some sweetness to be found, with some caramel and citrus and stone fruit in the mix. But it’s quickly beaten into submission by the hops. The palate leans towards syrupy and the carbonation is average. If you’re into intense hop experiences, this is a must, but for mine, it lacks a bit of balance. With a touch more sweetness and smoothness, it could have been something special. Very good but not great.

650ml bottle from Bierkompass

Pours hazy orange with a thick white head. Aroma of sweetish resinous hops, fruits, grass, caramely malts, pine and wood. Taste is smooth, sweetish, hoppy and resinous with loads of pine, grass, citrus, fruits and bitter hoppiness, some caramely maltiness. Finish is bitter, hoppy and resinous. Quite heavy, malty and bitter DIPA. Perhaps a bit musty and too resinous for my taste. Still tasty, though.

650ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, orangey golden colour with fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Piney and resinous hoppy aroma, biscuity caramel malty basis, hints of mango, orange, tangerine, grapefruit. Taste is bitter hoppy, piney and resinous, slightly herbal, repressed hints of tropical fruit, caramel malty backbone; really bitter, lasting, minimally chalky, mineral finish.

Draft - leafy green hops with a bit of spice. Dark clear gold with a rich white head. Lots of resin and pine. Nice, but the rich balanced sweetness is missing I his DIPA. Not bad,but definitely not the DIPA I was expecting.

Pours a cloudy, golden yellow with thick, mid-sized head. Aroma is full of floral, citrusy, tropical fruit. Flavor is a nice combination of citrus and spicy hops, with a bitter finish. Very sticky and resinous. A really nice double IPA.

Fra flaske på Cardinaltreff okt-13: på min oppfordring hentet Sigmund et par flaske av denne, og det ble en minneverdig avslutning på en kveld preget av gode fatøl. Kraftig humlet, heldigvis litt karamellinnslag for balansen.

650 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.5%. Hazy deep golden to brown colour, moderate to low coarse head. Intense aroma of American hops, orange marmalade, pine and crystal malts. The flavour is intensely hoppy from start to finish, fruity, resinous and very bitter. Fairly sweet malts in the background. Long bitter aftertaste. Your tastebuds will never be the same again - at least not in an hour ...
