This Smoothie Sour starts as a 10% ABV kettle sour Berliner Weisse and after maturation we add to it 50% of strawberry. We don't let the strawberry ferment so the aromatics stay true to those of the original fruit and as a result of the fruit dilution the final ABV is 5%! No lactose, no marshmallow, no vanilla, no nothing! Just lactic acid versus fructose! That’s the simple balance we like! We just hope you love it the way we do!

Canned 440ml. -at Gobet Zagreb, Ophiussa TTO. Murky tomato juice coloured, small off-white head, strawberry and some odd fishy nose. Tartish strawberry taste with light fruity finish. Thick of course. Nope.

Can sample at a tasting at Sahar's place. Muddy strawberry color. Somewhat stinky, vegetal, strawberry aroma, sweet and sourish strawberry flavor.

Can from Beerdome. No head. Color is pale red. Aroma and taste are rich strawberries, citrus, fruits and little lactose acid. Nice thick smoothie finish.

Frothy white fair mostly diminishing head. Murky red colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Some strawberry notes. Light swet and moderate biitter acetic flavor. SOme straberries present. Average finish. Oily palate.

Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 29A: strawberries / 28B: lactobacillus / 23A). Can 44 cl - Batch 120422 (BBF 12.04.23). AROMA: medium-high to high fresh strawberry aroma. faint sour background with a yogurt-like note. APPERANCE: pale red body and totally opaque with a fruit smoothie appearance. low to now head. TASTE: medium strawberry flavor, more muted than the aroma by a balanced clean lactic presence. finishes of strawberries and slight acidic. MOUTHFEEL: very high body with a thick and creamy texture. low to no carbonation. OVERALL: indeed it is what the label says strawberry smoothie sour, although with a bit too much texture.
