Festbier is the king of Donzoko lineup.

Released once a year, this deep gold lagerbier has a rich malt body, thanks to a long decoction mash of Vienna and Munich malts. A generous helping of Tettnang and Blanc hops give way to a crisp, bitter finish.

Keg @ Tap and Can. Clear golden amber, white head. Floral notes accompanying a mildly sweet fest profile.. Ok I had this after Spaten's oktoberfest bier but still, I expected a deeper caramel resonance from a Donzoko festbier.

It carries a nice color, head and aroma. Medium bodied. Comes across a bit sharper than a classic of the style though it has plenty of toasted biscuit and moist dough notes as well. It’s rather enjoyable even if it skews a touch hoppy.

Rocky white head on an unclear pale amber coloured body. Malt, sweet, tobacco & caramel aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & lively on the back with a cloying aft. Sweet, malt, caramel, berry & grainy tastes with bitter hoppy finish. Excellent.
