Deep amber copper color. Buttery peanut brittle, orange blossom tea aromas follow through to a rich chewy and fruity full body with nice notes of caramel drizzled dried apricot and roasted grains and spice. Finishes with a long, tangy grilled grapefruit and chocolate fade.

750 ml bottle-pours a foamy off white head and copper color. Aroma is earthy/spice hops, some medium malt. Taste is earthy/spice hops, some medium malt-molasses, alcohol. To after taste before bitter hits. Thanks JWC215 for sharing.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival 2008. A dark amber beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of malt, caramel, and hops. The flavor is sweet matly wtih notes fo caramel, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Clear amber, creamy head. Full grapefruity peach aroma. Medium sweet with solid body. Lots of toffee well covered in grapefruity hops. Long balanced bitterness.

750 ml RED bottle from GM Liquors; Nose of sweetness, caramel, a vanilla note, and floral hoppiness; clear copper with a big, lightly lacing, beige head; flavor of bitterness contrasted by sweetness, a golden raisin note, caramel, and some white pepperiness. Finish lightly bitter with a sweet fruity note. At $8.99 wasn’t near as pricy as the ceramic bottles and pretty good tasting too!

Bottle from the Coop in Davis, CA. Pours a dark coppery amber with a beige head that was not much. Rich sweet malt aroma over a little resin. Medium plus body with mildly fizzy carbonation. Flavor is pretty sweet, almost like kandi, but there is a fair amount of hop bitter. Slightly more sweet than bitter, there’s still a great deal of hop in the finish. Much like a hoppy barley wine is my impression. Smooth and seductive. Session this. It’ll work, but it might be your last session. Note: It’s not a ceramic bottle; painted glass.

Draught at Chappy’s. Nice herbal/floral/citrus hops in the aroma. Caramel malts, floral and citrus hops, and some alcohol on the finish. I really enjoyed this brew, though it may not be all that "special."

Sampled at Max’s Taphouse in Baltimore. Pours a copper amber with a creamy, thick white head. Aroma is fruity with apples and a little bit of sweet, caramel candy. Flavor has a strong malt presence, spice, lemons, grapefruits and biscuits. Slightly thick and oily on the tongue with a lasting, albeit mild, bitterness.

Sampled on draft at Zeno’s in State College PA this beer poured a caramel-chestnut color with a large yellow-tan head. The aroma was sweet fruity and floral hops but not a whole lot else. The flavor was bitter floral hops with a tangy malt undertone followed by fruity hops and a hint of caramel. The finish was long and hoppy.

On tap at Boise Front Door Pours out a dark gold topped with an off white head. Aroma and tast of light hops. Pretty nice body and bitter end. Not bad.
