Anno 1925. Op initiatief van het gemeentebestuur van Lille werd Den Tipsy in 2007 opnieuw ingevoerd. Den Tipsy is een donkerbruin bier met een rode schijn en een lichtbruine schuimkraag. Het heeft een overweldigend karamelaroma en draagt toetsen van donker fruit.

Fles 33cl thuis. Licht drop/anijsachtig, apart. Volle smaak, heeft wel iets. (2-2009).

Huge yellow-brown head over bright amber-chestnut beer. Molasses, roasted caramel, even invert syrup nose, maltextract. Overly sweet, syrupy concoction, maltconcentrate, molasses, sugared dark bread, faintly leafy. Syrupy, sticky, cloyingly viscous. Ugh. Some breweries go from strength to strength. Others go from disaster to calamity.

Bottled. Amber colour, not much head. Aroma is toffeeish, caramel malty, sugary and some hints of mild grass. Flavour is very much the same and has some milder spices and herbal touches in it. Alochol feels mainly like a warming feeling.
