Přeneste se s námi o pár století zpět do historie, kdy technologie vaření piva byla na mnohem nižší úrovni než je tomu dnes. A to nejen vaření piva jako takového, ale i příprav surovin. A to včetně sladů, kdy jediná dostupná technologie sušení namočeného ječmene bylo použití kouře z přímého ohně, tedy princip jakéhosi táboráku kombinovaný s udírnou. Historicky se tento způsob výroby sladu drží kontinuálně jen v Bamberku, kam se dostanete za pouhé čtyři hodiny jízdy autem z Prahy. V současně době “nakuřovaná” piva vaří desítky či možná stovky menších fortelných pivovarů po celém světě.

A vzpomínky na letní pionýrský tábor vám přiblíží nejen technologický postup výroby sladu, kdy kouřmo kouře se přeneslo i do hotového sladu, ale i chuť piva. A jaká že je? No prostě nakouřená, až lehce uzená. Neděste se a ochutnejte. Věříme, že vás vyvážená chuť kouřma ohně se sladovými tóny může oslovit.

Polotmavý ležák speciál, 14,5° , vařený ve spolupráci se slovenským minipivovarem Kaltenecker v Rožňavě. Odtud i název V3Rauchbier, tedy Visegrádská pivní trojspolupráce.

Tap @ EBF 2008. Licorice and somewhat peaty smoke in the aroma. Heavily smoked peaty flavor. Thin. Some tropical fruit in the background.

Bottle 0.5l. Slightly cloudy, amber colored. AROMA- smoky, sausages, bread crusts. FLAVOR- neutral, lightly bitter, smoky, bread crusts, toasted malts. Medium bodied.
Somewhat empty.

Bottle. Aroma: smoke, malt and a little yeasty, smoked cheese. Taste: smoked with hop bitterness, malt, slight sweetness, spicy, a little pepper in the aftertaste.

0,3 l bottle, bought directly at the brewery. Black in the glass, small and short living but foamy head.Winery barrel wood and smoke on the nose. Taste is decent, not a smoke hammer, acid, vanilla, smoke with sourness. Dry palate. Nice one.

bottle at home, from trade with Jamedra, thanks Roman. black color, big tan head. smells smoky, bacon, some roast malt, slight sweetness on the aroma. full body, smoky notes, bacon, slick,light roasty notes, light dry / smoky finish. quite nice one.

Bottle. Pours hazy dcopper brown with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel and hints of banana and roast. Sourish taste, possibly off, but the bottle was only 10 days past the BBD. Botter aftertaste. Needs re-rating.

Bottle from Pivotéka u Modrého lva. Colour is hazy copper. Medium off-white head, disappearing very quickly. Aroma smoke, bacon, caramel. Taste is medium sweet, light sour, barely any bitterness. Too sweet for my liking, in conjunction with the caramel aroma. Finish light sweet, none to light sour, more caramel than smoke. Not bad.

Bottle. It pours an unclear, brown to copper colored body topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma has some ham notes and a touch of cellar, but caramel dominates. That goes for the flavor too, there’s also some faint smokey sourness, as well as something sort of fruity, with smokey sourness in the end. Medium body. A rather nice one, but it lacks on depth and really good smokyness. 110610

1l plastic bottle from Zly casy, Prague. Hazy brown color with medium beige head. Aroma of caramel, malt, hops and light smoke in background. Taste, roasted malt, some sourness, fruity hints. Light smokey finish. Good, even I expected little more smokiness in taste.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is smoked, malt, fruit. Flavour is smoked, fruit, malt, milky sour. Medium body. OK beer.
