That Shiz Slaps! This is our new Doppelbock that’s giving us flavors of toasted bread with toasty, light malt. Dark fruit flavors of raisin and prune give a sweetness to this one, and the texture is satisfyingly full-bodied. With no hint of bitterness, this goes down easy & goes excellently with a hearty meal.

The aromas are toasty dark malt with a hint of spice. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, sweet up front with developing bitterness and just right carbonation to balance. Done in the classic traditional way. Really good. Could have used a better name though.

Pint can from State Line Liquor, 8/18/22. Dark ruby red, thin tan head, average retention. Aroma of caramel, hops, toast, brown sugar, dates. Taste is toffee, caramel, piney hop, raisin, plum, vanilla. Bit of smoke and leather. Well balanced, very flavorful. Quite nice. It does slap.

Tap at the Herndon location - dark amber - a bit rough around the edges, with some burn character creeping in - otherwise a rich malt presence with caramel, chocolate, and raisin - dark bread - just some undue bitterness and roast on the tail end.

On tap at Aslin. Pours very dark brown. Chocolate, biscuit, rich red fruit, toasty, little earthy. Medium body. Excellent.

16oz can. Poured a really nice looking cola brown color with a large tan head. Aroma was really rich and malty. Light nutty notes. A throwback to when Aslin made unpretentious, non-IPA beers that were mostly unadulterated. They can still pull it off.
