A colabrown beer with a weak and beige head. Aroma is bready, ryebread, and ryebready sourness, some roastiness. Taste is ryebready and roasted, some sourness, not too sweet, also some bitterness in the aftertaste. Medium- bodied, quite smooth carbonation, easy to drink. A simple beer, but that works, good!

Bottled, at Alvar, Turku, likely as AlvarBier/Beer or Alvar Schwarzbeer. Thought I read it was stronger, but until someone corrects me, it’s going here. Poured a cola body with a slightly off white head. Grainy dogfood/coffee nose, sweet, light honey. Grainy roasty taste, not bad, ordinary but fine.

Bottle thx to Mabjork, 2010-08-21, Göteborg AR: rich aromas of: roasted malt & brown sugar - melass, and some cherry marmelade AP: dark reddish/brown body, 1 cm rockey of white head F: dry rosted coffey, high carbonation, perhaps a hint of chocolate and vanilla beans, long lingering after taste of bitterness and coffey

Bottled. A deep red-brown beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of lots of bread with brown sugar on top combined with some notes of malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of matl, caramel, and straw as well as light notes of bread, leading to a dry, bitter, and bready finish. The body is light. A very boring flavor compared to the aroma.
