Sampled from the tap at ABR 2024. Pours a clear deep amber with a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has notes of bread and light grains with some straw coming through. Flavor has slightly sweet grains and bread with a slight cookie note underlying.

Tap at Drunk Uncle. Sweet, rich Dunkel. Brown bakers chocolate. Leans deep into the style, which is admirable, but doesn't have that much finesse either. Some deep caramel malt tones, or something. Unique for the times, OK.

The aromas are dark malt, hints of roast, toffee and cherries. Flavors are similar to nose, good balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation, adding in a bit of vanilla. Good body and finish. Nice dark beer.
