Bottle 75 cl. As: "Bøgedal Nr. 0160". Pours a hazy and opaque golden with a white head. Fresh, fat citrusy hops in the nose. Very full-bodied with a solid malt base and distinct fruity accents while the light citrus notes reappears in the finish. Sweetish British style Barley Wine - if a Barley Wine at all. 221009

Bottle, 75cl corked, at the European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. As no 143. An unclear, orange body with a small off-white head. The aroma has a strange and sort of unpleasant touch of chicken farm in the background, with malt, grains and some citrus playing the most important parts. The flavor fortunately lacks the chicken farm and is sweet, lightly spiced, malty and almost sugary. In a nice way. Full-bodied. Sweet finish. Most of the beer is really nice, but the aroma would have been horrible if the chicken farm was stronger. Rating: 5-4-7-4-13-3.3. 080912
Bottle, 75cl corked, at Esbjerg Beerfestival. As no 160. A hazy, yellowish orange beer with a small, off-white head. A bit weak on the nose, with citrus, pineapple and malts. Strong citrusy, resiny flavor, sweet, syrupy malts. A bit low on bitterness considering it’s sweetness. Full-bodied and warming. Alcohol and bitterness in the finish. A quite nice beer, nothing extraordinary at all. 091023
