A truly complex stout with hints of vanilla and coffee supported by a dark, malty base. We’ve taken a big stout and made it bigger with Belgian malts and candy sugar, making it a one of a kind Belgian Stout that won a Silver Medal at the 2018 World Beer Cup.

16oz can. Thick, steady, deep rusty beige head. Thick, viscous brown-black body. A little heavy handed, sweet. Has a lot of adjuncts to help cover up an otherwise mediocre Imperial Stout. Has a cheap malt extract feel to it, or maybe just poorly attenuated. Not that enjoyable. Big and messy. Unpleasant aftertaste.

Keg at the brewery, 9/2/16. Black, thin fizzy tan head, good retention. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, smoke, nuts, caramel. The taste is roasted malt, chocolate, plum, cherry, smoke, dark chocolate. Medium bodied, mild booze, well balanced.
