(bottle) Clear, dark brown colour with a ruby shine and a beige and firm mid-sized foamy head. Sweet roast-malty aroma with notes of bread crusts, caramel and a tinge of molasses. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Roasty malty and slightly molassy taste with caramel and shades of bittering hops towards the otherwise malt-accented and roasty finish with traces of metal. Not too sweet thus likeable DB, all in all decent. 21.XI.10

The bottle looks good, but very much like the Antonius Starkbier Hell. Starts malty and strong, notes of plum. Finish a bit sourish. An average beer.
