50 cl bottle. Hazy dark gold color. Medium white head.Orange , wheat and banana aroma. Fruity flavor with the normal banana and cloves presence. The most distinguish characteristic in this Weizen is the stronger malt percentage and the subtle caramel notes. Dry.

A golden and murky beer, a head is quite big and blond. Aroma has wheat, light sourness, also banana and bubblegum. Simple taste with wheat and banana. Medium bodied. Pretty nice hefe.

Bavarian Hefeweizen, from tap at a Greek restaurant in the Oberpfalz region, thanks Goedele for sharing! Off-white, moussey, stable, quite thick head on a hazy peach blonde beer with beige-ish tinge. Aroma of banana bread, strong clove, moist white pepper, dried peach, brioche bread, hint of grass, pear. Sweetish onset, pronounced banana ester with hints of ripe pear and dried apricot, softish carbonation with soft fluffy mouthfeel; bread-doughy core edged by wheat sourishness and slickness, but the wheat flavour is just a tad less outspoken than it could have been. Retronasal clove and vague white pepper phenols as well as a chlorine-like touch, paired with mild grassy hop bitterishness and ongoing wheat slickness. Not on a par with the great classics in the Hefeweizen genre for me - lacking a bit in character and finesse, though still enjoyable enough for what it is.

Can. Piwo jak na pszenicę z Bawarii to słabo. Cóż Niemcy obniżają loty, może jakieś oszczędności robią bo po raz kolejny niemieckie piwo jest słabe. Piana nie za wielka barwa prawie klarowna. Wodniste lekko bananowe

Appearance: cloudy deep yellow with the tall off-white frothy head of good retention. Aroma: esters including banana, bread, old hop, a little clove. Taste: light sweet, fruity. Banana, wheat bread, some hop. Not much spiciness. Mouth feel: medium minus body, lively carbonation. Overall: well drinkable. Not bad.

Tap at Žito. Hazy golden-orange body, creamy white head. Soft aroma mixing vanilla and peppery phenolics with some ripe fruit esters underneath, lightly sickly herbal later. Soft sweetish but light enough taste mixing vanilla and banana, caramelly wheaty maltiness. Heavy notes but the body keeps them in check, along with a light wheat tartness. Pleasant weiss!

0,5 l bottle from Bierzwerg, Greven. Hazy golden in the glass with a nearly three finger frothy white head. Wheat and yeast smell, less but present banana and clove. Taste starts with orange fruity, creamy yeast and wheat, getting a little bit more dry fruity. Above average carbonation. Bavarian standard stuff. So better than most of the rest of the world.
