Pretty good stuff all the way around. Both aromas and flavors are dominated by the malts and roasted barley. Some food honey and cocoa in there too. A bit of booze and metallics in the Finish. Good body. Mine was served a bit too cold but still quite good.

Bomber from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours brown with ruddy glints and a somewhat transient tan head. Aroma of darkish treacle and darkish fruits. A slightly sweet fruit aroma. Med + body. Flavor is darkish treacle and darkish fruits. There's also a brown sugar trail which is accompanied by some spice - like grains of paradise or similar. There's a slight heat burn. After awhile something like plums starts to pop up. Then there's a light astringency. Kind of like wood, but probably not that. I give up. It's too complex for me. To recap: Not dry, but some combo tends to provide balance. Pretty much a sipper, yet surprisingly, dangerously quaffable. Likin' it a lot.
