Ever wish you could make a good thing last forever? Extend the golden hour. Experience a neverending sunset. Then again, it wouldn’t be quite as special. Thus, we recommend basking in the glow of this double IPA while you can. Phantasm (a unique brewing ingredient made from New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc grape skins) transforms into tropical and citrusy aromas during fermentation. Plus, there’s actual citrus in the form of sweet orange peel. Add an unprecedented trio ofhops – Mosaic, Southern Aroma (fromSouth Africa) and 843 (a Stone-sponsored experimental variety from HBC - Hop Breeding Company) and you’ve got quite the magical moment.

Next round @ GB Bottle Shop. Frothy, honey orange tea pour, slightly opaque. Earthy, slightly floral, borderline faint funk on the nose. Soggy rind, pepper & yeaties. Big orange/grapefruit pith, juicy, somewhat tannic though the grapes aren't really there. Dry, crusty toast & some obvious soap. Not a bad beer, but disappointed after reading the description.

12 ounce can. Slightly hazed orange gold color. Pillowy beige head. Earthy malt and resiny pine aroma. Flavor is a mixed bag. Tangy citrus, ripe stone fruit and crisp white wine notes. Certainly complex and engaging. A combination of headstrong hoppiness and tangy citrus results in a very flavorful IIPA. Some warming alcohol on backend, but still a delicious sip.

(Keg at Barski Helsinki, 20230505) The beer poured amber and nearly clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had dark fruits, ripe fruits, resin and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were dark fruits, ripe fruits, resin, malts, toffee and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A tasty hoppy brew with strong malty notes.

A Stone IPA with wine adjuncts. Okay, I am a fan and then I am not. Time to have a try with this 12 oz can of Patio Magic. Lift the tab and tilt into my New Belgium globe glass. Medium orange in color with a moderate top of white foam that settles steadily. The scent is, well, different for an IPA. Hoppy and then vinous, best I can determine. A drink goes along with that. Some citrus, an influence of the wine, a little bitter, white bread and malt. Decent, a little different for the style.

12 ounce can from Ridgeview Liquor, 4/16/23. Hazy orange, medium tan head, good retention. Aroma of herbal, tangerine, tea, pale malt. Taste is floral, melon, tea, tangerine, white grape. Slick, mild bitter, good balanced.

12oz can pours with a clear copper colored body that has thin golden hues and supports a nice lasting white head of foam. The aroma offers up floral hops, peach and apricot, watermelon and strawberry. Interesting. The taste delivers a smooth thicket of hoppiness. It goes from peach, apricot and fig juiciness to more bitter grapefruit and woody to herbal like hops. To midway it picks up additional soft juicy hops guava like hops creating more depth and chewiness. Yeah, this creates a fairly deep flavor and chewy body. Nice.

On tap at Stone Escondido, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out a murky earthy, piney hops, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is a lot better than it smells, with sauv blanc grapes, piney hops, and crisp biscuity malt. Nicely bitter, crisp and biting. Excellent.
