Appearance - 10 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6

Dark clear ruby, off white head. Smell is light and malty. Flavour has malt, a little fruit, some hop. Really drinkable.

Cask-conditioned at The Punchbowl (JDW), York 7/9/2023. Almost black in colour and opaque, with a tight, beige, head. Plain chocolate, toasty malts, a touch of coffee and blueberry sweetness, before a toasty finish. Pleasant drinking.

Bottle from Belly Rub Beer, Scarborough. Pours clear chestnut brown with a thick cream-coloured head. Aromas of coffee and light blackcurrant. Taste is fruity coffee bean, stewed plum and spice. Light body, thin finish.
