amazing aroma of raisins, plums, figs, and belgian yeast. flavor is just as complex, nice and sweet, loads of raisins, plums, candi sugar. The carbonation is a little high, and there booze comes through in the finish, but overall this is an excellent dubbel.

3rd LCRBM. Malty, buttery aroma, slightly spiced. Sweet flavor with flowery hops, roasted malt and licorice. Hints of citrus and red berries. Malty. Well done, but not my favorite from this brewery.

Bottle @ Home. Pours dark reddish brown with a small light brown head. Aroma of malt, yeast, caramel, some dark fruits, dates, figs. Flavor is light sweet, malty, yeast, caramel, dark fruit, little alcohol. Medium body, soft carbonation. 110610

Bottle 0.75l at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Originally rated 12102012. Colour is reddish brown with small head. Aromas and flavours: Dark fruits, plums, raisins, yeast and malts.

75 cl bottle vintage 2006 @ Beer Hunter’s. Produced 30.11.2006, BB3 01/2012
Aroma is very sweet with raisins, sugar, plums and malt. Flavour has raisins, plums, sugar, toffee and some malt. Too sticky and sweet – even after six years. Closer to a Barley Wine than Abbey Dubbel.

Bottle @ Dans house. Cloudy, reddish brown appearance with a cream colored head. Candy sugar, caramel, toffee, sweet aroma. Quite sweet, candy sugar, caramel malty, somewhat cloying, toffee, a touch fruity flavor.

Hazy reddish brown with a big beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, dried fruit, yeasty and spicy. Flavor is quite sweet. Sweet finish. 210408

Würziger Antrunk, in dem Malz und Hefe die Aromen zu gleichen Teilen vorhanden sind. Im Mittelteil noch etwas würziger, vor allem hefig-süßer. Nun malziger, dunkler, wenig röstig. Leicht alkoholisch, was aber passt. Dann wieder fruchtig-malzig, Zum Ende malziger, vollmundig, dabei aber immer süßlich. Vielen Dank an DerDoppelbock! 10/10/11/11/12/12

Bottle. Clear dark brown/orange with small diminishing tan head. Flavour is malt, caramel, fruit, toffee, little bitter, little sweet, nuts, vinous, hops and warming.

Medium yellowish beige head. Hazy red body with floaties. Milky resiny honeyish aroma with herbal cinnamon notes, as well as some alcohol. Dry-sweet milky raisiny honeyish taste with wild berry and herbal cinnamon notes. Mild, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish wild berry and honey aftertaste with resiny milky raisiny notes. Nice, but perhaps faintly over-aged. (0.75l bottle, Kihoskh, Copenhagen. 2006 vintage.)
