33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg.
Dark brown to black with an off-white head. Dark caramel and chocolate aroma, more akin to a stout than a barley wine. Sweet taste with a long boozy finish. Interesting barley wine where the sweetness is replaced by roast. Nice one.

Bottle from Beerdome. Very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, brown sugar and dried fruit. Flavor is quite sweet. Sweet finish. 080925

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is brown malts with caramel, a touch of roast and liquorice. Medium sweet flavour with a moderate bitterness and some alcohol in the finish. Above medium body. Decent, fairly roasty and bitter for a BW.

Flesje gedeeld door Tomhendriksen en gedronken met Benzai en Keukeman. Diep donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Aroma van rozijnen en pruimen. Smaak van gebrande mout, koffie en rozijnen. Nasmaak van koffie en rook.

Bottle at tasting. Brown color, off-white head. Smell and taste malts, caramalts, malty bitters. Quite good actually. I like it.

Fles gekregen van LiekevdV, gedeeld met Inoven, Benzai en Keukeman. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een dun schuim. Het heeft een aroma van gerst en rozijnen. De smaak is vol, gebrande mout en rozijnen.
