Bottle: Deep ruby-amber coloured, mid-sized fluffy beige head, slowly collapsing; clean, moderate nose: sweet dark malt, caramel, the smallest amount of toasted malt, shy hops and a very light metallic touch; moderate, clean sweet-bitter flavour, not too light bodied for a beer of 4.7%, silky MF; traces of cacao in the caramelly, but not too sweet finish, some bitterness round the brew. Good, clean Dunkels are hard to find, this brew is one of those....

(Sample #10 [bottled] at the first Biertest-Online Gathering, Düsseldorf, 29.12.06) Clear, dark brown colour with beige foamy medium head. Shy, slightly sweet, ashy aroma of dark malt and light fruity notes (raisins) and only traces of hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium body with a moderate carbonation. Ashy malty taste, shy toasty notes with the imagination of dried fruits; dryish, moderately bitter finish with hints of herbal hops. Not that convincing, probably coloured Dunkel.

Getrunken beim 1. BTO-Treffen. Malzig aber ins aschige übergehend, auch der röstmalzige Abgang wirkt mit der aschigen Note disharmonisch. Test vom 30.12.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,6,8,6,11,7 - 7,05
