I acquired a pint can from Half Time within the past year. Cool weather outside, I think it is time to sample an imperial stout. Snifter is ready for the pour and I determine a very dark, very thick body with a slight cover of khaki tan foam. The smell is mostly chocolate with a bit of grain and peanuts working through. Time to take a drink, chocolate, certainly, peanuts again, coconut if I pay attention, malt and I do get a small berry presence from somewhere. Sweet undoubtedly but I have had others in the style that are sweeter. I know the abv is significant but it is undetectable. Not a bad imperial stout.

Canned 473ml. -at Goblet Zagreb, shared with hrabren. Pitch black coloured, medium sized brown head, burnt peanut butter in the nose. Roasted malt, burnt peanut butter, chocolate, caramel and discreet coconut with light alcohol in the finish. Bit too sweet.

0.473 l can shared with Ogi and Sklepa at the Goblet Beer Store, Zagreb. Dark brown to black, oily, small brown head. Aroma is toasty, nutty, toasted peanut. Earthy. Smooth, sweet. Thick, sticky, oversweet. Sardines. Roasty, toasty and nutty flavour. Warming. A slow drink. Too sticky. Some alcohol.

Can. Pours like motor oil. Almost black with a short-lived dark brown head. Roasted malt, lots of peanut, ash, harsh finish.

Canned 3/6/23, drunk 5/19/23. Viscous, dark, unclear. Tan head to ring quickly. Peanuts, maybe a hint of coconut. Tar, ash, prune, light vanilla. Not boozey. Sweet malts, heavy peanut, but no coconut. Syrupy, rich, thick, quite sweet, though on a Timber Ales scales it's not very sweet. Think I can do like 4 sips before I have to dump it. Ash, prune, raisin, vanilla. Treacle. Eh, this is a Respectable sipper but still ultimately the balance is too sweet.

Can from Harvest. Pours a viscous, pitch black with a full two fingers of brown head. Peanut butter and dark chocolate really focused on the nose. More peanut butter with coconut on the palate. Cacao nib and chocolate syrup linger on the finish. Like all Timber, not overly sweet. Great body. Really nice stout for the price.
