The bottle looks okay, the beer in the glass also. Tastes malty and dry, somehow not really balanced, not very drinkable. Not a good beer!

Bottle. (trade w/papsoe) Presents itself with a nice, translucent, ruby body, and a beige, creamy head on top. Roasted, fruity nose with a little oxidized touch. Prunes as well. A nice aroma indeed. The flavor is a bit disappointing compared to the aroma, yet nice, with roasted malt, dried fruit, a little oxidation and and a little bitterness. Medium, slightly dryish mouthfeel. Roasted, slightly fruity finish with some coffee-like flavors and bitterness. Lovely dunkel. (071114)

Flip-top bottle: Reddish amber coloured, smaller, stable off-white head; sweetish-caramelly, a bit toasted-malty nose with a hopped background; delicate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; solid caramelly and aromatic hoppy finish. A good Dunkel from an excellent brewery..........

Bottle. Sweetish, quite roasted aroma. Clear dark brown colour, big stable light brown head. The flavour is also quite roasted with some sweetness. Long, roasted aftertaste. Thin mouthfeel.

(swing top bottle) Hazy and dark brown colour with a ruby shine and a foamy tanned medium head. Roastmalty aroma with caramel and dark chocolate. Bitter flavour, medium body, roastmalty taste, caramel, moderately sweet malty finish, slightly tart with traces of herbal hops. Good.

(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful, clear brown beer with a reddish hue and a decent head. Lovely roasted malt and a discreet sweetness. Aromatic hoppyness, but well balanced. Reminds me of a Czech Dunkel. 040501
