0.5l bottle (beerangel.de), shared with ogivlado. The back label calls this a Dunkles Kellerbier. Interesting. Pours a hazy red/brown body with a darker off-white head that went away slowly. The nose is odd... dry dog food (coming from either yeast or grain or both) with some coffee as well. The taste is sweet, coffee, dog food again, crackers. Yeasty. Soft mouthfeel, drinkable. Ok but not my type of beer I guess. Interesting to try a sub style like this though.

Bottled, Beerangel (BB 09/2009). Flip-top. Deep red color, creamy steady beige head. Aroma of caramel, wood and some fruits. Dryish mouthfeel, a bit too watery. Caramel and milk chocolate in the flavor with grassy hoppyness in the finish. Standard ok dunkel.

Swing-top bottle. Milk chocolate malt aroma. Medium brown with large tan head. Strong rye malt flavor with hint of chocolate. More grain flavor than the average dunkel - a tasty beer.
