This is an incredibly rich and flavourful Baltic porter. It pour’s like the BP oil spill; thick, sticky and black. It’s a viscous mix of flavours with chocolate truffle being the dominant one. There’s burnt caramel, a hint of smoke and a nice balancing blast of port wine.

Pours clear, dark copperbrown / Caramelly brown. Medium large to large off white head. Scent is dark bread, mild dark fruityness, medium intense. Taste is full, creamy, mildly intense on the intense roastyness. Maltbitternes, medium fruityness from the yeast (blackberry) . Enjoyable and well made !

Noire, col fin blanc-cassé.
Arôme au nez malt, caramel, grillé, léger sur le torréfié avec un rétro-nasal fruits noirs et secs: pruneaux, cerise noire, dattes et une petite note de toffee.
Palais est bien malté - caramel, grillé, crystal ainsi que fruits noirs épais - pruneaux, dattes avec en retrait un retour de chocolat noir - amertume fine sur le noble assez plaisante et qui apporte une pointe terreuse et florale.

440ml can. Pours almost black with an enormous beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roast malts, coffee. Taste is a bit sweet, dark chocolate, coffee and roast malts, caramel, slightly bitter finish, quite well balanced actually. Fairly thick and creamy body. Excellent.

440ml can bought as part of a delivery from House of Trembling Madness and drunk at home. It’s very dark brown, pretty much opaque with a very large khaki head. Iced coffee, milk chocolate and light notes of liquorice. You expect it to be sweet - and it is - but there’s a sumptuous hoppy bitterness that adds balance and depth to the finish. Full body for the style, with medium carbonation. I was almost sure to love this, and I do.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Dark brown body with a huge beige head. Low carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate and black pepper. Flavour of roasted malt, toffee and caramel biscuit. Medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Roasty and peppery.
